Design, Build, Create!

What can you build with hundreds and hundreds of KEVA planks?  Anything you want. Future architects, engineers and artists will create works of art, unique buildings and cleverly designed contraptions with wood planks.  This all day come-and-go event is for pre-school and elementary age children.  This hands-on interactive exhibit will be at the library on Thursday, June 1.  Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This program is provided by the Oklahoma WONDERtorium as part of the Beyond Museum Walls.

Summer Reading 2017

Approximately 60 children from pre-k through the fifth grade are participating in this year’s summer reading program.   Timed reading and cool incentives are just a part of the summer fun.  On June 6, Ventriloquist and Magician Gary Ray Howell had everyone laughing at corny jokes from his furry puppet friend and being amazed by magic tricks.

Don’t forget!  Tuesday, June 27 is our summer reading finale. We will be showing “The Lorax” at 1:00 pm.  Special snacks will be served.  Turn in minute logs to redeem your incentives.  Remember – 400 minutes of reading earns a cool lime-green “Build a Better World” backpack!
