Friends of the Library (FYPLA)

About the Friends

Friends of the Yale Public Library Assn. (FYPLA) was established May 1986 as a voluntary, non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose purpose is to support the library through public awareness, fund-raising and hands-on involvement.


FYPLA sponsors special events, helps fund summer reading, and purchases special needs for the library with monies raised from book sales, fund-raisers and donations. FYPLA members can volunteer their time and talents in various ways.  Ongoing fundraisers include book sales at the library, collecting Best Choice labels and participating in the Amazon Smile program.

Individual $5.00 Family $10.00 Best Friend $20.00 and above  All donations are tax deductible and are payable to: Friends of the Yale Public Library Assn. (FYPLA).

Meeting Dates for 2018

The first meeting in 2018 is Tuesday, January 16 at 1:00 pm at the library.
Meeting dates and activities for the year will be determined at the meeting.
